Commentaire : A very nice copy. Scarce copy, published in Germany under the Nazi regime. Fred Walker was a a Scotsman from Glasgow. In 1905, when he was 17, he left his family and travelled around the world, starting off in the USA. In San Francisco, he survived the great earthquake of 1906, then left for Mexico, where he dealt with Pancho Villa. During WWI, he enlisted and fought in France. When the war was over, he left for South America, for more adventures. His book was first published in the U.S. (1934) with the following title : 'Destination Unknown : running away to danger'
