Commentaire : First edition. 'The Settsu Meisho Zue is a collection of famous views, with commentary, of the province of Settsu'. The present volume (or 'Maki') is the fourth on twelve volumes of the most comprehensive record of the Settsu Province during the Edo period. This volume contains 27 woodcuts (most of them double-page) about Osaka, including the famous plate reproducing a Dutch delegation (with Hendrik Caspar Romberg) attending a theatre perfomance at Osaka. Good condition (small worm damage on margin, otherwise a very good and fresh copy). Pictures will be sent on demand.
